Instructions for Forum and Symposium Speakers

This guide is designed to help you prepare for your presentation at the APRU Global Health Conference 2025. Please follow all requirements carefully to ensure smooth participation in the conference.

Symposium

Session Flow

  • Total Duration: 90 minutes
  • Opening Remarks (10 minutes): The moderator introduces the theme and speakers.
  • Presentations (45 minutes): Three to four speakers, 15 minutes each.
  • Interactive Discussion (20 minutes): Moderated dialogue among speakers.
  • Audience Q&A (10 minutes): Open discussion with participants.
  • Closing Summary (5 minutes): Key takeaways and next steps.

Guidelines for Speakers

  • Adhere strictly to the 15-minute time allocation.
  • Focus on key insights, evidence, and implications for policy and practice.

PowerPoint Presentation Guidelines 

  • Prepare slides in PowerPoint (.PPT or .PPTX) or PDF format. 
  • Use Widescreen ratio (16:9).
  • Fonts: Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana, Calibri (avoid special fonts that may not display correctly). 
  • The first slide must include the presentation title and the presenter’s name. 
  • We kindly advise against using video presentations, as they may cause delays due to potential technical issues.

We also encourage presenters to submit their slides early, by 21 October 2025 at 11:59 PM (Kuala Lumpur Time), to help us ensure a professional and seamless conference flow. Kindly submit your slides using the link below.

Forum

Session Flow

  • Total Duration: 60 minutes
  • Opening Remarks (5 minutes): Introduce the theme and panellists.
  • Panel Dialogue (40 minutes): Moderated conversation among 3–4 speakers. No formal slide presentations required.
  • Audience Q&A (10 minutes): Open exchange with participants.
  • Closing Summary (5 minutes): Highlight main insights and next steps.

Guidelines for speakers

  • The format is conversational and interactive, not presentation-based.
  • Forum moderators will provide guiding questions in advance to stimulate the forum dialogue.
  • Keep time carefully to ensure space for audience engagement.
