The APRU Global Health Program is organising the 11th Annual Student Poster Contest Rules 2025 in conjunction with the 18th APRU Global Health Conference 2025.

Eligibility

  • Current full-time undergraduate and graduate students from any university are invited to submit an academic poster to the contest.
  • You must submit the final poster, along with a separate written abstract of up to 300 words about the poster.
  • Postdoctoral students are not eligible. However, medical students are eligible to apply as undergraduate or graduate students (depending upon your program).
  • The poster must be related to broadly global health.
  • Collaborative poster presentations are acceptable; however, the student must be the first author. Please indicate if the poster is being submitted by more than one student.
  • Only one submission per student (as first author).

Poster Submission and Presentation

  • ALL eligible student poster submissions will be automatically “accepted” for the conference. They will be displayed virtually at the conference even if students cannot attend in person. Attendance at the conference is not required, and there will be no poster presentation at the conference.
  • A prize of USD500 will be awarded for the best undergraduate and best graduate posters (one in each category). Second and third place will also be awarded and will receive a certificate of the award, but no cash prize will be offered.
  • By submitting, you agree to have your poster included in our conference program, displayed at the conference, and on the APRU website.
  • Students should choose to submit either to the regular conference abstract submission (for consideration for an in-person oral presentation) OR the Student Poster Contest, but not both.
  • The top three finalists in each category (undergraduate and graduate) will be notified by September 15, 2025. Top prizes will be announced during the conference.
  • Please submit your poster through the conference website by July 1, 2025.
