- Full name (first name, middle initial and last name) of each author
- Department(s), institution(s), city and country with which each author is affiliated
Corresponding Author

Structure for Case Report/Case Series
Background

Case Description

Conclusions
Summarise the main takeaway lesson, clinical impact and potential implications.

- Funding

Tables, Figures and References
- There should be no figures, tables, or references in the abstract.
- If any are included, the abstract will be sent back to the authors for revision to ensure accuracy and completeness after removing such elements.
Statistical Requirements
- The description of the P value should be in the uppercase format, i.e., “P”.
- If P value <0.001, report “P<0.001” to avoid reporting unnecessarily excessive precision (except for hypothesis tests that include correlations or studies with exponentially small P values, such as genetic association studies, which can be reported exponentially, e.g., P=1×10-5).
- If 0.001≤ P value <0.01, report the specific P value to 3 decimal places, e.g., “P=0.001” or “P=0.009”.
- If P value≥0.01, report the specific P value to 2 decimal places, e.g., “P=0.01” “P=0.06” “P=0.10” “P=0.90”. When the P value is near 0.05, report the specific P value to 3 decimal places, e.g., “P=0.046” or “P=0.052”.
- If the P value is >0.99, report “P>0.99”.
- Do not report “not significant” simply because the data is greater than an arbitrary value, and do not report only vague bounds such as P<0.05, as described above, but report the exact P value.
Keywords
Please include 3-5 keywords for all types of studies except for case reports. In a case report just include “case report”.
Funding
Example 1.
Funding: This work was supported by XXXX (No. XXX to XX [whom]).
Example 2.
Funding: None. (If the research was carried out without funding.)
Conflicts of Interest Statement
If there’s nothing to declare, please state it as follows:
Conflicts of Interest: All authors have completed the ICMJE uniform disclosure form. The authors have no conflicts of interest to declare.
If there’s a potential conflict of interest to declare, please summarise them as follows:
Conflicts of Interest: All authors have completed the ICMJE uniform disclosure form. XXX reports that… The other authors have no conflicts of interest to declare.
Example:
All authors have completed the ICMJE uniform disclosure form. Author 1 reports NIH grant funding unrelated to current work. Author 2 reports consulting fees from Merck and MoreHealth. Author 3 reports he serves as a Scientific Advisory Board Member at Merck, Board Member of the International Mesothelioma Interest Group, and the Vice President of the International Thymic Malignancies Interest Group. The other authors have no conflicts of interest to declare.
Ethical Statement
Original Research
Original research should include the Declaration of Helsinki, Institutional Review Board Approval (including its ID), and Informed Consent in the ethical statement.
Example:
Ethical Statement: The authors are accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved. The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki (as revised in 2013) and approved by XXXXX In-stitutional Review Board (IRB #: XXXXX). Because of the retrospective nature of the research, the informed consent was waived. (Written informed consents were obtained from the patients.)
Case Report
The case report should include the Declaration of Helsinki, Institutional Review Board Approval (its ID is optional), and Informed Consent in the ethical statement.
Example
Ethical Statement: The authors are accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved. All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and national research committees and with the Helsinki Declaration (as revised in 2013). Written informed consent was obtained from the patient for publication of this case report. A copy of the written consent is available for review by the editorial office of this journal.
Other article types
Other article types should declare the ethical statement as below.
Ethical Statement: The authors are accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
Note: Written informed consent must be obtained and stated if the manuscript includes any information that might disclose personal privacy, including but not limited to identified personal information in case reports, case series, or research articles.
Conflict of Interest Form
Each author listed in the abstract should submit a separate Conflict of Interest (COI) Form as suggested by ICMJE (http://www.icmje.org/conflicts-of-interest/), and is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the submitted information.
The COI Form can be downloaded from ICJME website. Email the completed COI form to scientific@aprughc2025.um.edu.my
